We're Going Somewhere

This is my family.
We're going somewhere.
It's different than where we've been.
What it looks like?
I can't say.
In fact, I don't really know.
I'm getting anxious.
It's going to be good.
We invite you to go with us,
even if just in spirit.

Topherspoon is listening to this.
Topherspoon is preaching tomorrow.
Topherspoon had a good nap today

Homiletics

Some random thoughts as I prepare to preach again this weekend.

Len Sweet is all about EPIC preaching.

experiential,
participatory,
image-rich, and
connective.

I think I am too, you know. I just want to speak truth, authoritatively, you know.
Reminds me of some poetry by Taylor Mali, you know what I mean?

A Biblical Limerick

(inspired by Judges 1:12-14)

Othneil captured Kiriath Sepher
Acsah married him and called him dear
She desired a field
An agreement was sealed
When she got off her ass and her rear.

Another Haiku... and some jewish prophecy

working together
recieving more than vision
may Your kingdom come

But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness
like a never-failing stream! - Amos 5:24

End of Day

wind rustling leaves
full moon on a clear night
looking towards the east
